Help. Healing. Hope.

No matter how long ago it’s been, the painful memories of an abortion can linger and remain long after it happened. You may be feeling hopeless, as if there’s no way to move on from the trauma. Please know that you’re not alone. We’re here, ready to walk beside you and help you reclaim the hope that you feel is lost.

We understand there are factors that contributed to your abortion, and your happiness, health and well-being matter to us. We’re here to help.

Though your experience is unique, suffering after an abortion is not. We want to equip you with the tools you need to heal.

Freedom and peace are all within your reach. You don’t have to settle for feeling lost and you don’t have to stay silent about your pain. There is hope for your future.

You are not alone.

Although your abortion story is unique to you, what you are experiencing is common.

Years is the average delay in seeking recovery

If you’re struggling with certain emotions or behaviors, it may be because of your past abortion experience. Both men and women can suffer from Post-Abortion Syndrome (PAS) which is a form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). If you are experiencing any of the following, you may be suffering with PAS:

  • Depression or anxiety
  • Intense feelings of guilt when remembering the abortion
  • Avoiding children or pregnant women
  • Thoughts of suicide
  • Eating disorders
  • Feeling numb
  • Anniversary reminders, such as the procedure date or the predicted due date
  • Inability to bond with current or future children
  • Alcohol or drug use
  • Fear that future children will die
  • Wanting to get pregnant to fill the void

Visiting our center

We are located on a quiet street with a private parking lot. You’ll be greeted by a friendly, trained client advocate and asked to fill out a bit of paperwork, to help us understand your situation. Appointments take place in a comfortable, private room.

Free. confidential. private.

We are here to put you at ease about your biggest concerns.

Due to the generous support of our community, all of our services, including after abortion support, are at no cost to our clients. Our donors want you to find healing, just as much as we do.

Your story is yours alone to tell, when you are ready. Be assured that what you tell us is kept in confidence. No one else has to know about your abortion until you’re ready to tell them.

Your sessions will be one-on one, not in a group setting. We understand how hard it may be to share a story you have kept a secret for so long, and we know that starting with just telling one person can be less scary.

WHO will I be meeting with?

Our after abortion recovery program is led by trained and certified After Abortion Advocate, Sara Hermelbracht. Being a part of two mission trips, focused on helping women in crisis, allowed Sara to witness the freedom that comes from walking through the journey toward healing. This led her to seek further opportunities focused on meeting people right where they’re at and offering compassionate support as they face the days ahead.  Sara’s deepest passion is helping those struggling with the mental and emotional side effects of abortion to find the healing that they deserve. She believes that with God’s help, beauty can come from ashes.

We are here to listen, without judgement.
